Shoppers will enjoy browsing the many antique shops in the neighboring town of Bedford and the nearby village of Schellsburg. While in Bedford, be sure and visit the National Museum of the American Coverlet, a year-round institution devoted to American woven coverlets.

The Jean Bonnet's excellent location offers outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy two of Pennsylvania's most beautiful state parks. Visitors to Shawnee State Park or Blue Knob State Park can enjoy hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing.

Guests may also enjoy a day spent exploring nearby Coral Caverns, the only known fossilized coral reef cavern to be in existence. Examine a towering fossil wall which contains the fossil remains of coral and other sea creatures buried over 400 million years ago when Pennsylvania was partially covered by the "Great Inland Sea."

Our first adventure to tackle the Blue Knob Mountain on snowboards. Our bodies are bruised and our muscles are sore. We welcome this canopy's comfort and the tavern's warmth. Tim heard the ghost, Polly, banging in the night! We will be back!
