The Jean Bonnet Tavern offers our guests fine dining at reasonable prices in a wonderful Early American setting. We have become known for our delicious food and warm hospitality.
Our restaurant is on the lowest level of our building, set within thick fieldstone walls. Chestnut beams, more than 250 years old, span the ceiling. A huge working fireplace fills one wall, while other walls are hung with beautiful hand-made coverlets. Comfortable seating is offered in our hickory slat-back chairs. The atmosphere is truly historic and very welcoming, but it is the wonderful food that keeps our guests returning.
Our tavern and outdoor dining comprise our building’s middle level. The tavern features a large stone fireplace, beamed ceiling, oak tables and plank flooring. Guests at the Tavern may order Tavern Specials or any of the foods offered on our restaurant menu. Click here for more about our Tavern.
During warm weather months, we offer outdoor dining on our porch or patio. Guests who choose to dine outdoors may order any of our restaurant menu choices or a Tavern Special as they wish. The topmost stories of the Tavern are reserved for lodging. Each Bed and Breakfast overnight includes a delicious country breakfast freshly prepared with fresh breads and other ingredients, produced locally in Bedford or a nearby county.
